Mollie Adamson

When Mollie Adamson completed her A-Levels at Wyke College she decided that she didn’t want to go to university and wanted to gain hands-on experience within the working world. She applied for opportunities via HBTC and with our support she successfully secured an Apprenticeship at Mortgage Advice Bureau, who are based in Hull. Mortgage Advice Bureau are a leading mortgage network as well as a recognised intermediary brand, who have won over 70 national awards in the last 5 years.

Rob Prime, Mollie’s manager, was pleased with the support provided by HBTC when searching for an Apprentice. “We have been to numerous companies to try and obtain an Apprentice, but found HBTC the most accommodating and professional company to deal with.”

When Mollie began the Apprenticeship her role involved administration support to the sales team. At this stage she was quiet and shy but willing to take on all tasks with a keen interest to learn. Over time she has developed within the role, obtained additional responsibilities and become a confident member of the team. We are informed that due to Mollie’s hard work, excellent attitude and value to the team, it was an easy decision to offer her permanent employment upon completion of her Apprenticeship. Her role now also incorporates sales making inbound and outbound calls to generate business for the company, alongside administration duties.

Mollie enjoyed her Apprenticeship and it has given her an excellent start to her career and has opened opportunities. She now would like to progress with the Sales Team at Mortgage Advice Bureau and eventually become a Mortgage Advisor.

Rob Prime has been happy with the integration of Apprentices into the business and the value they can bring with the correct development. Mortgage Advise Bureau like to offer opportunities for young people to enable them to get on the career ladder and they are already supporting a new Apprentice and looking to add another imminently. Rob encourages other employers to consider recruiting Apprentices but advises they ensure they are equipped to support and develop Apprentices within the role.
