Remote Education Offer
Covid19 Adaptations
In order to provide continuous high quality teaching learning and assessment to all learners and to ensure the safety of all learners, HBTC have adapted their delivery and assessment methods for all learners during these unprecedented times. These adaptations are in line with guidance provided from the Government, awarding bodies and end point assessment organisations. Please read the below guidance and contact HBTC if you have any further queries.
Delivered Sessions
All face to face delivery will be offered via remote online delivery as per your usual timetabled delivery schedule. Your tutor will send you a link to the sessions and attendance is mandatory as discussed in your individual learning agreement.
Workshop Sessions
All workshop sessions will be offered via remote online delivery as per your usual timetabled delivery schedule. Your tutor will send you the work out to complete during the workshop hours and will contact you to provide support and assessment during the agreed timetabled workshop hours as agreed in your individual learning agreement.
Review and Assessment Meetings
Your assigned assessor will contact you to arrange these meetings, these will take place remotely using an online video platform. These will continue to take place at the same frequency and your employer involvement in reviews is still a requirement.
Students with Additional Requirements
Students that have additional requirements such as SEND or who may not have access to the appropriate facilities in order to progress with their chosen programme are able to attend HBTC, however, this must be prearranged to ensure risk assessments are in place to ensure a safe learning environment for all. Please contact your assessor or tutor to discuss this option if this has not already been discussed with you.
Expectations
An online learning charter is in place, this supports the behaviour charter. You will have been provided with a copy of these documents by your assessor and you can also access a copy of these here. Please do re-familiarise yourself with these documents to ensure you are aware of HBTC’s expectations for online learning and behaviour.
Safeguarding
HBTC’s safeguarding procedures remain in place at all times, please do not hesitate to contact amy@hbtc.co.uk or chris@hbtc.co.uk to report safeguarding concerns or to seek support and guidance.
